MOGADISHU — The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) is set to convene the upcoming Country Humanitarian Forum (CHF) on Thursday, August 6, 2025, at Ruun Jinaad Hotel located in the Villa KGS compound in Baidoa.
Under the theme:“Driving Localized, Inclusive, and Resilient Humanitarian Action amid Rising Needs in Somalia,” the forum aims to strengthen collaboration among government bodies, local organizations, and international partners to ensure a more effective and coordinated humanitarian response across the country.
The event will provide a platform for key stakeholders to explore strategies for empowering Somali actors, localizing aid efforts, and promoting community-led planning and implementation in response to the growing humanitarian challenges.
SoDMA reiterated its commitment to fostering principled and efficient humanitarian action that reflects both international standards and local realities. The agency has called on all humanitarian partners—both international and regional—to actively participate in this important event.
