MOGADISHU — The Dialysis Center at Banadir Hospital in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, continued providing its medical and therapeutic services to beneficiaries, supported and funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) as part of ongoing efforts to bolster the healthcare sector in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the center received 337 patients during the month of November. A total of 1,472 scheduled dialysis sessions and 11 emergency sessions were administered to 172 patients, while another 165 patients received specialized medical examinations and consultations at the nephrology clinic.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that statistics showed 64% of the beneficiaries were male and 36% were female. Displaced persons accounted for 15% of the total cases, while residents made up 85%. The agency emphasized that this support is part of the humanitarian projects implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly Somali people and enhance the efficiency of provided medical services
