Somali health ministry quarantines arrivals from 14 countries

MOGADISHU — The Ministry of Health and Human Service of the Federal Government of Somalia announced Saturday that it would quarantine all citizens coming from 14 countries to avoid the transmission of Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), SONNA reported.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health decided to quarantine citizens coming from China, Europe, the United States of America, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Turkey, Pakistan, Egypt, India, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.

The Ministry of Health calls for all citizens to isolate themselves and stay in their homes for 14 days, and to take all necessary health measures in accordance with the instructions of the health authorities in this regard.
