​Somalia and Egypt strengthen strategic partnership to elevate healthcare

CAIRO — In a significant move to solidify brotherly ties, the Somali Minister of Health and Human Services, Dr. Ali Haji Adam, held extensive official talks with the Egyptian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, in Cairo, to explore avenues for advancing joint health cooperation and developing a strategic partnership between the two nations.

The meeting, attended by the Somali Ambassador to Egypt and high-level officials, featured in-depth discussions aimed at institutionalizing cooperation and exchanging medical expertise. The dialogue sought to ensure high-quality healthcare services for citizens in Somalia, reflecting a shared vision for an advanced health system that fulfills the aspirations of both brotherly peoples.

The agenda was dominated by vital files, including the qualification of Somali medical personnel, the expansion of specialized training programs, and the building of technical and administrative capacities for health institutions.
