Somaliland, IOM strengthen humanitarian partnership cooperation

HARGEISA — The Somaliland Ministry of Resettlement and Humanitarian Affairs held a high-level meeting today with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) at the office of Minister Suleiman Du’ale Haji Jama, attended by senior officials from both sides.

According to a media update published on the Ministry’s official Facebook page, the meeting focused on strengthening humanitarian partnership between the two sides in the areas of resettlement, humanitarian response, and support for vulnerable groups.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed reports on ongoing joint activities, assessed the implementation of shared programs and projects, and explored ways to enhance their effectiveness.

The discussions also addressed future cooperation priorities, particularly improving resettlement services, strengthening humanitarian response, and expanding interventions targeting affected communities.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued close coordination and intensified joint efforts to improve the quality and impact of humanitarian interventions.

The meeting concluded with a joint commitment by the Somaliland Ministry of Resettlement and Humanitarian Affairs and the International Organization for Migration to further strengthen their long-standing partnership in support of shared humanitarian objectives.

This meeting forms part of the ongoing cooperation between the Somaliland Ministry of Resettlement and Humanitarian Affairs and the International Organization for Migration, aimed at strengthening humanitarian response, improving resettlement services, and supporting the most vulnerable populations.
