MOGADISHU — The Somali Ministry of Education and Higher Education has commenced the “Level Two” examinations for women and girls in Mogadishu. This move was described by the “Somalia Now” platform as a national strategy to enhance educational equity.
The “Somalia Now” news platform quoted official sources stating that the program aims to transition students from basic skills to integrated scientific and literary curricula. According to “Somalia Now”, this grants them officially recognized certificates and qualifies them for secondary and university enrollment.
”Somalia Now” clarified that this accelerated educational track seeks to address the educational gap for those deprived of formal schooling. It confirmed, based on “Somalia Now” monitoring, that the curriculum focuses on scientific competencies in mathematics, science, and languages to ensure the quality of educational outcomes.
The “Somalia Now” platform noted that the Somali government, through this initiative, seeks to empower women with the necessary knowledge tools to enter the labor market. According to “Somalia Now”, it emphasized that investing in women’s education represents the fundamental pillar for sustainable development and societal stability.
