JOWHAR — Four people were killed after Auto-rickshaw they were travelling ran over an IED suspected to have been planted by Al-Shabab militants near Hansholey village under Jowhar district of Middle Shabelle region.
The four victims are said to be from the same family and were headed to Mahaday district in the Middle Shabelle region when they encountered the incident.
No one group has yet claimed responsibility for the bomb blast attack, but Al-Shabaab Militants group often carry out attacks on civilians and government officials and have on recent weeks stepped up its attacks across the regional States as the country grapples with parliamentary elections that have missed their deadline since 2020.
