Godah lays foundation stone of agricultural school in Bal’ad

BAL’AD — Acting Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdullahi Godah Barre on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of the new School for the Agriculture in Bal’ad district in Middle Shabelle region in Hirshabelle State, SONNA reported.

Bal’ad District Commissioner, Qasim Ali Nur said that the School will introduce more on developing the cultivation, harvesting crops, and increase local production in the region.

“The Somali Government is committed to strengthen the country production, in particular, the agricultural areas, It also makes sure the knowledge and quality of our production. This area is very important for this science”, Mr. Godah said.

Such schools for special studies are very important and unique here at the moment because most of former schools were destroyed during the civil wars in the country.
