HARGEISA — A heavy downpour accompanied by strong winds have pounded Salahley district on Tuesday.
The torrential rains have demolished school buildings, hospitals, and many residential houses. It is reported that the torrential rains also demolished Salahley local municipality building.
The rains characterized by heavy winds that blew off rooftops, leaving dozens of families homeless.
All patients admitted to the hospital were evacuated. A female patient is reported to be in a coma after the hospital building collapsed.
It is to be noted that the rains driven by high winds bring flooding in the district.
