Somalia ministry of health confirms second COVID-19

MOGADISHU — Somali Minister of Health, Fawzia Abikar Nur confirms 2nd case of Coronavirus in Somalia after a press conference held in Mogadishu and calls the public to be cautious and avoid public gatherings.

According to the Minister, the patient who is asymptomatic come from Italy before 10 days and will be kept at the centre until recovery.

Ministry of health last month announced the first case and previously implemented Coronavirus patient isolation based in Mogadishu and noticed the people against Coronavirus dangerous.

Somalia closed all schools ,university and other institutions and imposed a ban on international flights to avoid spread of the disease.

The government of Somalia on Tuesday 19 march announced $5 million budget for the allocation to support the fight against the viral infection.
