GAROWE — Health authorities in the Puntland State of Somalia have reported six new coronavirus cases on Sunday.
According to the regional ministry of health, six people tested positive out of 47 samples taken for examination.
For of the cases were recorded in the port city of Bosaso while two in the administrative capital of Garowe. Their ages range between 24 to 60 years old.
The officials further said four people fully recovered from the pandemic.
There are 411 recorded cases in the northeastern state with a death toll of nine people so far.
Authorities urged the citizens to fully exercise health guidelines to curb the spread of the virus which is still a big threat.
Somalia has 3376 confirmed cases with 98 fatalities and 487 actives while 2791 fully recovered according to the federal ministry of health latest data.
