MOGADISHU — Qatar Charity has donated various aid items to assist vulnerable families in Somalia.
The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) Saturday received the aid shipment consisting of 250 tents which is intended to provide much-needed shelter for the vulnerable and to prepare for potential emergencies.
SoDMA Deputy Chairman Dr. Ahmed Abdi Adan expressed gratitude to the government of Qatar and the leadership of Qatar Charity for their generous support and emphasized the critical impact of the donation, assuring that the aid will be promptly delivered to those in dire need.
Qatar Ambassador to Somalia Abdullah Salem Al Nuaimi reiterated his country’s commitment to supporting Somalia in its humanitarian efforts and underscored the longstanding bonds of brotherhood between the two nations.
This gesture of goodwill is an indication to Qatar’s ongoing dedication to aiding Somalia’s development and resilience.
The aid marks another chapter in the collaborative efforts to address the humanitarian challenges in Somalia, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in fostering stability and support for those affected by crises.
