President H. Sheikh seeks enhanced German support for vocational training

MOGADISHU — Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with German Ambassador to Somalia, Sebastian Groth, at the Presidential Palace in Mogadishu on Thursday to discuss key areas of cooperation between the two nations.

During the meeting, President Mohamud emphasized the importance of strengthening Germany’s support for Somalia’s state-building efforts, particularly in re-establishing vocational training programs.

The President stated that such initiatives are vital for promoting sustainable development and stability as Somalia works to rebuild its infrastructure and create jobs.

Ambassador Groth reaffirmed Germany’s steadfast commitment to Somalia’s development agenda. He highlighted the strong partnership between the two countries, particularly as Somalia advances its democratization process and strives for long-term progress and prosperity.
