JOWHAR — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today officially inaugurated the new building of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Hirshabelle State, as part of ongoing efforts to develop education sector infrastructure and strengthen institutional capacity at the state level.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Federal Minister of Education, Culture and Higher Education and the Hirshabelle State Minister of Education, where officials emphasized the importance of modernizing government facilities to improve the efficiency of education sector management.
Participants noted that the new building will play an important role in improving educational planning processes, coordinating education programs, and enhancing the quality of services provided to students across the state.
They further stressed that strengthening the institutional structure of the education sector contributes to better implementation of education policies and improved administrative performance, resulting in higher-quality educational outcomes.
The inauguration is part of joint efforts by the Federal Government of Somalia and Hirshabelle State to develop education infrastructure and provide a modern working environment that supports sector advancement.
Officials reaffirmed that investment in education is a foundation for sustainable development and for building a knowledge-based society capable of addressing future challenges.
Education sector development remains a national priority in Somalia, as federal and state authorities work to improve education quality and strengthen institutional capacity.
