JOWHAR — In a continued show of solidarity with vulnerable communities around the world, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has distributed 1,200 food baskets to families in need in Middle Shabelle region of the Federal Republic of Somalia. The initiative, which benefited approximately 7,200 individuals, is part of the broader Food Security Support Project currently being implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Somalia.
According to a report published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the distribution targeted some of the most affected families, providing them with essential food supplies to help alleviate their daily hardships in the face of prolonged drought, displacement, and growing food insecurity.
This humanitarian intervention is one of many carried out by the Kingdom through its relief arm, KSrelief, as part of a comprehensive effort to mitigate suffering and support stability for vulnerable populations across the globe.
Through its presence in Somalia and other crisis-affected regions, KSrelief continues to deliver lifesaving assistance in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s global humanitarian mission — prioritizing the dignity, resilience, and well-being of those in need.
