JOWHAR — Troops from the 5th Division of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM), based at Jowhar Airport, distributed clean drinking water to over 200 residents at the Towfiiq IDP camp, as part of humanitarian relief efforts reported by Shabelle Media Network.
Lieutenant Colonel Nzirorera Pierre, AUSSOM’s Civil-Military Cooperation officer, emphasized that this initiative reflects the mission’s commitment to supporting families affected by conflict and natural disasters, noting that providing potable water is a top priority for public health.
