MOGADISHU — Dr. Elmi Mahamoud Nur, Minister of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Housing of the Federal Government of Somalia, held a meeting today with a delegation from the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to discuss support for social services, particularly housing for displaced persons.
The meeting, which included several directors from the Ministry, focused on several key areas: the presentation of shelter designs for displaced persons, accelerating plans to provide affordable quality housing, and reviewing and strengthening the cooperation agreement between the Ministry and IOM.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing essential social services and strengthening international partnerships to support vulnerable Somali citizens.
