MOGADISHU — A father in northern Galkayo was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly murdered his two teenage children.
The two kids, aged 12 and 13, were killed in the home they shared with their father in the Falluja neighborhood.
Neighbours were alerted to the death after smelling the decomposing bodies and forcing their way into the home.
Galkayo’s mayor, Mohamud Abdizur Adan, confirmed that the father was taken into custody and charged with murder.
Adan said that investigators believe that the father was a drug user.
