KSrelief strengthens food security in Kismayo

MOGADISHU — In a move that embodies the national and humanitarian commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards sisterly and friendly nations, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) executed a major distribution of food assistance in the city of Kismayo, located in the Jubaland region of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

This initiative falls under the umbrella of the Project to Support Food Security for the Needy in Somalia, which aims to alleviate the severity of living challenges and ensure that essential food reaches the most vulnerable families. The distribution included 1,500 integrated food baskets, directly benefiting 9,000 individuals from the city and the region.

These persistent efforts underscore the pivotal role played by the Kingdom, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, in extending bridges of aid and emergency relief across various parts of the globe. These purely humanitarian aids reflect the Kingdom’s deep-rooted values of international solidarity and supporting countries in need to achieve stability and livelihood security for their populations.

The arrival of these aid convoys in Kismayo serves as new evidence that Saudi generosity continues to be a lifeline for the brethren in Somalia, confirming that humanitarian action is a fundamental pillar of the Kingdom’s foreign policy.
