Mogadishu blood bank serves (554) with KSrelief support

​MOGADISHU — In a continuous affirmation of the profound humanitarian commitment led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the National Blood Bank in Mogadishu, Republic of Somalia, announced that it provided its life-saving services to (554) individuals during October 2025. This vital achievement is the result of generous and sustained support from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief).

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the project for operating the National Blood Bank represents a fundamental pillar in bolstering Somalia’s health capacity. The monthly statistics reflected a comprehensive nature of the services: males constituted (73%) and females (27%) of the total beneficiaries.

Regarding social distribution, residents benefited at a rate of (87%), while the services included (13%) from the internally displaced populations, embodying the human and national dimension of the Saudi support which reaches all segments of the Somali society.

​The continuation of this crucial project underscores the Kingdom’s leading role in assisting affected sisterly nations and demonstrates that KSrelief functions as an effective humanitarian arm, actively contributing to saving lives and improving the quality of healthcare in the most needy communities worldwide.
