BAIDOA — The President of South West State (SWS) of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, has officially laid the foundation stone for the South West State Teacher Training Center in Baidoa, the state’s administrative capital.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the South West Minister of Education, Culture, and Higher Learning, H.E. Zahra Osman Ahmed, the Mayor of Baidoa and District Commissioner, Mr. Abdullahi Ali Watiin, along with several other senior government officials.
The new facility will include various departments dedicated to training and equipping teachers throughout South West State. The center is designed to enhance the quality of education and build a stronger, more capable teaching workforce across the region.
