Deadly clan clashes claim 30 lives in Middle Shabelle

MOGADISHU — At least 30 people have been killed in intense clan clashes that erupted in the Middle Shabelle region on Friday. The fighting, which took place near the town of Adale, involved heavy weaponry and resulted in numerous casualties, including civilians.

The exact cause of the clashes remains unclear, but tensions between the warring clans have been simmering for some time. The situation remains volatile, with fears of further escalation as both sides continue to mobilize their forces.

The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by Somalia, particularly in rural areas where clan-based conflicts are prevalent. Despite efforts by the federal government and regional authorities to address these issues, sporadic violence continues to plague the country.
