MOGADISHU — One woman and two children were killed, and two others were injured after a landmine exploded in Galguduud region in central Somalia.
A landmine planted in the Sil Lahilai area exploded, killing a woman and two children, and wounding two others, the Somali National News Agency (SONNA) reported.
Somalia suffers from landmines and remnants of war. More than 1,200 Somalis were killed as a result of unexploded ordnance, mines and explosive devices, according to a report issued by the United Nations in April.
