MOGADISHU — State Minister for the Ministry of Health of Somalia, Dr. Maryan Mohamed Hussein received laboratory equipment intended to support Benadir Hospital’s laboratory section here in Mogadishu today on Saturday.
Dr. Maryan thanked Italy for their contributions towards maintaining and equipping the Benadir Hospital, highlighting that these machines will be used to aid mothers and children who are among the most vulnerable members of society.
Colonel Domenico Di Carluccio, the head of the Italian military support unit stated that the equipment was donated with the intention of further developing the Benadir Hospital and emphasized that they would continue supporting the hospital.
The officials then conducted a joint inspection of various parts of the hospital, observing the daily activities at Benadir Maternity and Children’s Hospital.
