Heavy fighting erupts again in Mudug region

GALKAYO — Reports from Mudug region say that fierce clan fighting has erupted again in Huldooyale area under Amara region.

The fighting between two clan militias is based on previous clan killings in the area, according to local sources.

Reports say that fighting that broke out in Huldooyale district again resulted in various casualties, Some of the injured were taken to local hospitals.

The situation is now tense, with local residents reporting that the fighting is intensifying and spreading to new areas.

It is the third day of the fighting on the outskirts of Amara between two neighborly clans.

Galmudug and local leaders have also been spending lots of efforts to prevent further loss of life due to repeated tribal wars in the center of the country.
