MOGADISHU — Somali Parliament has unanimously passed the National Health Professionals Council (NHPC) Act on Monday.
According to the Minister for Health and Social Services, Dr. Fowziya Nur Abikar act is an important step towards regulating health professionals.
It will also provide practice and education guidance to the health professionals in the country.
“I thank the Lower House of Parliament for the unanimous decision to approve the National Health Professionals Council (NHPC) Act. Special thanks to the Ministry of Health, Justice, and Civil Society.” Dr. Fowziya said.
The health sector in Somalia is among the institutions affected by the aftermath of the civil war in the country but the significant sector has experienced drastic reforms in the past years by the Federal Government in order to provide quality services provision.
