MOGADISHU — Somalia has seen its lowest daily number of COVID-19 cases since the pandemic broke out several months ago.
The Ministry of Health and Social Care announced that 16 new infections were recorded in the last 24 hours, in addition to 19 recoveries. No death was recorded.
Banadir region recorded six new cases, Somaliland recorded the same number while Jubbaland confirmed four new infections.
Eleven of the cases are male while five are female.
The number of COVID-19 cases in the country has thus reached 2,894, with 887 recoveries. The death toll still stands at 90.
