MOGADISHU (SoOHA) – A plane from Djibouti carrying emergency relief supplies in aid of the ongoing response to the floods in Beletwyene landed yesterday in Mogadishu.
The National Flood Emergency Committee which coordinates the relief efforts received the plane dispatched by the government of Djibouti.
According to the committee, the Djibouti government also donated $600,000 to support relief efforts.
Thousands of people have been displaced by the floods in Beladweyne as efforts are being made to help affected families.
