DOHA — Statistical data reported by Al-Sharq Qatari Newspaper revealed that Qatar Charity successfully implemented 990 humanitarian and developmental projects in the Federal Republic of Somalia throughout 2025. These projects benefited approximately 528,000 individuals, with a total investment of 122.56 million Qatari Riyals, following an integrated strategy that balances urgent relief with sustainable stability.
Al-Sharq Newspaper highlighted that the “Food Security” sector led the interventions with 233 projects, providing food parcels and vouchers in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), reaching 267,000 beneficiaries. Furthermore, the newspaper detailed the “Water and Sanitation” sector, which included 76 projects for well drilling and solar-powered purification stations, serving nearly 50,000 people, particularly in IDP settlements.
Regarding the medical field, news coverage in Al-Sharq Qatari Newspaper noted the completion of 24 health projects benefiting 143,000 individuals.
These efforts included constructing and equipping medical facilities, performing specialized surgeries, and supporting blindness prevention programs.
In the “Shelter and Social Housing” sector, the newspaper confirmed the execution of 15 projects, including the construction of integrated residential villages and solar-powered housing solutions for 34,000 beneficiaries, significantly bolstering living stability for the country’s most vulnerable groups.
