MOGADISHU — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued its tangible humanitarian efforts in Somalia, implementing several vital relief projects over the past few days, which included the distribution of food baskets and shelter materials in various regions.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Center recently distributed 600 food baskets in the Sool region, benefiting 6,383 individuals, as part of the fourth phase of the emergency food security intervention project.
The aid also included the distribution of 1,200 food baskets to the neediest families in the city of Baidoa, benefiting 7,200 individuals, in addition to another 1,300 food baskets in the same city, which benefited 7,300 individuals, as part of the food security support project in Somalia.
The Center’s efforts were not limited to food support but also extended to shelter assistance. The Center distributed 250 shelter bags, 1,200 clothing bags, and 30 tents to displaced and affected people in the Sahel region. These diverse aid items benefited 1,400 families as part of the shelter aid distribution project.
These aid deliveries are part of the humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, with the aim of assisting needy and affected peoples around the world.
