Somali PM sacks minister of education

MOGADISHU (SOHA) – Prime Minister of Somalia Hassan Ali Kehyre has today sacked the minister of Education Abdirahman Dahir Osman.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Ali Kheyre didn’t give the clarification behind the drastic action.

The PM appointed the Deputy Minister of Education Abdirahman Mohamud Abdulle Jabir to be the acting minister for the office.

The Minister of Education has last night announced the 2017-2018 secondary examination results for the higher schools in the country before his dismissal from the office.

Although the Somali government has not yet been able to clarify the reasons for the drastic action, the minister is accused of an interview that he gave yesterday on the media said that his ministry doesn’t recognize all the universities in the country.

He is the second minister dismissed from office in a month.
