Amb. Ashkir opens national forum on social cohesion and conflict prevention

MOGADISHU — The Deputy Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Amb. Abdihakim Ashkir, officially opened the National Forum on Social Cohesion and the Prevention of Recurring Conflicts.

In his opening remarks, Minister Ashkir underscored the importance of genuine cooperation between the government and civil society, stating, “It is essential to foster strong partnerships between citizens and state institutions to effectively eliminate social divisions and build lasting peace.”

The forum brought together representatives from the Federal Government, Federal Member States, the Banadir Regional Administration, and civil society organizations, all committed to promoting unity and sustainable conflict resolution across the country.

The Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation Aidarus Mohamed Hassan addressed the National Conference on Clan Conflicts and Social Cohesion.

He outlined the objectives of the conference and commended the active participation of attendees.
