MOGADISHU — The State Minister for Culture and Higher Education, Nura Mustaf Mukhtar, the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Wang Yu, and Somali National University Rector, Prof. Hassan Osman Ga’al, launched the Somalia-China Friendship Scholarship programme.
The ceremony, held at the university’s KM4 campus, was attended by government officials, university representatives, and delegates from the Chinese Embassy.
The programme, funded by the Chinese government, aims to provide Somali students with access to quality education within the country, fostering academic growth and knowledge enhancement.
Fifty scholarships were awarded to the highest-performing students in the university’s 2024–2025 entrance examinations.
