Somalia launches the 2nd development forum

MOGADISHU — The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama, has launched the Somali 2nd Development Forum, focusing on creating a growth and economic transformation plan for the country post-debt relief.

This forum, organized by the Heritage Institute and set to last for two days, will discuss the country’s economic situation and strategies for economic development.

Deputy Prime Minister Salah highlighted the importance of such discussions, emphasizing that the government prioritizes the country’s economic development.

He noted that the country’s revenue has increased by 56%, indicating significant progress in revenue growth and overall economic development. He also mentioned that the country’s debt relief represents a major achievement for Somalia.
