37K students to sit for high school exams in Somalia

MOGADISHU — Final exams for the High School Certificate for the academic year 2023-2024, overseen by Somalia’s Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education will take place on Saturday.

More than 37,000 students residing in Mogadishu and other regions of the country will sit for this year’s high school exams, with the highest number of candidates in recent years.

The final exams for middle schools were recently concluded, with over 35,000 students from Banadir region and other regions across the country participating.

Notably, students from areas formerly under the control of militants, such as Harardhere, Eldher, Adan-Yabal, and other areas, also took part in this year’s exams.
