Minister Beene-beene meets with JICA vice president

TUNISIA — The Minister of Planning Mohamud alias Beene-beene held a meeting with the Vice President of the Japan Development Agency (JICA) Nakamura Toshiyuki in Tunisia.

They discussed issues related to a cooperation between the two countries, and JICA’s support in Somalia, including scholarships for Somali youth at Japan universities.

Also, investment and capacity building of Somali government institutions were among the agenda, according to a statement released by the ministry of planning.

The minister is part of the delegation of the Prime Minister of Somalia, Hamze Abdi Barre, who is participating in the Japan-Africa conference TICAD8 underway in Tunisia.
