HARGEISA — In a move that reflects the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting those affected by displacement, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) announced the completion of its urgent shelter aid distribution in Somalia’s Awdal region. This assistance, part of the shelter aid project for displaced persons in Somalia, targeted the most vulnerable families to provide them with a safe and dignified environment.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the aid included 200 shelter bags, 300 pieces of clothing, and 10 tents, benefiting 3,060 individuals from 510 displaced families.
This initiative is part of the center’s ongoing efforts to provide emergency relief and alleviate the suffering of displaced people in areas facing escalating challenges.
This distribution once again confirms the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, in providing comprehensive humanitarian assistance globally.
It also reflects the center’s commitment to standing by Somalia in the face of multiple challenges like drought and conflict by providing support in vital sectors, including food security, health, water, and shelter, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
