Prime Minister Kheyre visited Berdale district in Bay region

BERDALE (SoOHA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Ali Khayre, today visited Berdale district in the Bay region to look at the situation of people affected by floods and how best to respond.

Mr. Hassan Ali Khayre, who attended the flood victims’ families, told his audience how the Somali government is committed to supporting the Somali people affected by the floods.

President of the Southwestern State of Somalia, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen) briefed the Prime Minister on the progress and situation of the environment in general.

The Prime Minister thanked the Somali people and the governments involved in the rescue efforts, lauding the joint efforts of local, international aid agencies, flood relief committees and all those involved in the rescue of flood victims.

The flood relief committee carrying out its mission of protecting flood victims has sent five relief planes to Berdale district, and the Prime Minister urged the committee to redouble its efforts.

Office of the Prime Minister’s plan to achieve a lasting solution looga to wrap up the flood problem in many parts of the regions in the country recently issued a clear policy approach.
