HARGEISA —<\/strong> The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, and Chairman of the National Drought Relief Committee, Mr. Abdirahman Abdillahi Ismail (Saylici) traveled to the country\u2019s eastern regions, on a working visit.<\/p>\n

The Vice President handed over cash and food aid to the eastern regional administrations as part of the relief efforts for people and animals affected by the drought.<\/p>\n

The Vice President accompanied by members of the Cabinet inspected the drought-affected areas, where they met with the regional administration, intellectuals, and the elders of the region, and listened to the extent of the drought.<\/p>\n

The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, who is also the Chairman of the National Drought Relief Committee, said that the purpose of their visit was to provide relief to those affected by the drought.<\/p>\n

Members of the regional administration, elders and intellectuals thanked the vice president and his delegation for stepping up to help the drought-stricken people.<\/p>\n
