{"id":9706,"date":"2022-02-16T21:53:22","date_gmt":"2022-02-16T21:53:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=9706"},"modified":"2022-02-23T10:58:28","modified_gmt":"2022-02-23T10:58:28","slug":"hargeisa-executes-4-soldier-releases-2-from-death-row","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2022\/02\/16\/hargeisa-executes-4-soldier-releases-2-from-death-row\/","title":{"rendered":"Hargeisa executes 4 Soldier, releases 2 from death row"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>HARGEISA &#8212;<\/strong> Somaliland today caried out an execution of four Somaliland soldiers convicted of various murder charges by the country\u2019s military courts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The soldiers executed by a firing squad, were found guilty in killing civilians in some parts of Somaliland.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Two other men sentenced to death by a Somaliland court, and were scheduled to be executed, were let go after relatives of deceased had a change of heart.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two men, who were tied to a pole for execution, were released after the relatives of the men who they killed said they would take compensation, and the two convicted murderers were untied.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the two men released today was a pirate from Somalia, he shot dead a prison guard at Hargeisa Prison, during an attempted jail break.
