MOGADISHU —<\/strong> Somalia registered 245 new coronavirus cases and 10 deaths over the past 24 hours, the country\u2019s Health Ministry said on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new figures bring the total number of cases in Somalia to 13,324 and fatalities to 678.<\/span><\/p>\n

Somalia, a country of some 15 million, has been battling a second wave of COVID-19 since the beginning of this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Somalia last week received 200,000 doses of Chinese manufactured Sinopharm vaccines.<\/span><\/p>\n

The country rolled out its mass inoculations on March 16.<\/span><\/p>\n
