{"id":7060,"date":"2020-11-28T22:49:58","date_gmt":"2020-11-28T22:49:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=7060"},"modified":"2020-12-01T13:23:16","modified_gmt":"2020-12-01T13:23:16","slug":"suicide-bomber-kills-at-least-seven-people-in-mogadishu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2020\/11\/28\/suicide-bomber-kills-at-least-seven-people-in-mogadishu\/","title":{"rendered":"Suicide bomber kills at least seven people in Mogadishu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MOGADISHU &#8212; <\/strong>Grim details are emerging from a suicide bombing tonight at the Gelato Divino restaurant on Mogadishu airport road.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reports say that seven people were killed in the blast, most of them prominent Mogadishu youths, and a number of others were injured in the blast.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A man wearing a suicide vest blew himself up outside the restaurant where many young people were sitting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Witnesses said the bomber was on foot and detonated himself in the restaurant sitting section, according to eyewitnesses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Explosions in Mogadishu have lately been linked to a series of suicide bombings, with a similar incident a few days ago at a restaurant near the Gen. Kariye Police Academy, where a bomber killed at least five innocent people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Somalia\u2019s Federal Government tonight released a statement of condolence regarding the bombing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI send my deepest condolences to the families of the victims of tonight\u2019s terrorist attack on a restaurant in Mogadishu. May God have mercy on the dead and heal the wounded. We must unite in the fight against terrorism\u201d.
