HARGEISA\u00a0 —<\/strong> The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici) has launched the Somaliland Health and Social Survey Program.<\/p>\n

The launch of the health survey program was also attended by Ministers of Health, Planning, and Social Affairs.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Health Development, Omar C. Abdullahi, speaking at the launch of the health and social survey in Somaliland, highlighted the importance of the survey to the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a very important survey that sheds light on many issues related to health, water, and social issues. It contains a wealth of information that we will use for a variety of purposes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Vice President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdullahi Ismail (Saylici) suggested that the information be written in Somali for the benefit of the Somaliland community.<\/p>\n

\u201cWriting information in Somali is important by putting it in newspapers, radio, and television on a daily basis so that it can be presented to the public so that each region knows its strengths and weaknesses,\u201d Saylici said.<\/p>\n

The Somaliland Health and Social Survey Program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health Development and the Ministry of Planning and National Development, is to outline the country\u2019s health status and vision.<\/p>\n
