{"id":5600,"date":"2020-07-13T08:24:12","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T08:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=5600"},"modified":"2020-10-11T07:54:31","modified_gmt":"2020-10-11T07:54:31","slug":"somalia-and-iom-discuss-addressing-migration-challenges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2020\/07\/13\/somalia-and-iom-discuss-addressing-migration-challenges\/","title":{"rendered":"Somalia and IOM discuss addressing migration challenges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>MOGADISHU &#8212;<\/strong>\u00a0The Federal Government of Somalia and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have jointly agreed to deal with challenges related to migration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The commitment was made during a meeting between Somalia\u2019s Minister for Labor and Social Affairs, Sadik Warfa, and IOM Chief of Mission for Somalia Richard Danziger during a meeting in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The sides also discussed ways to further cooperate on initiatives to create opportunities for young people to avert the trend that encourages young people to embark on a dangerous journey across the sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cGreat to welcome IOM chief Richard Danziger discussed a wide range of issues including job creation.
