{"id":5336,"date":"2020-06-15T22:41:16","date_gmt":"2020-06-15T22:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=5336"},"modified":"2020-06-17T08:59:10","modified_gmt":"2020-06-17T08:59:10","slug":"egypt-evacuates-its-teachers-from-somalia-over-coronavirus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2020\/06\/15\/egypt-evacuates-its-teachers-from-somalia-over-coronavirus\/","title":{"rendered":"Egypt evacuates its teachers from Somalia over coronavirus"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><strong>CAIRO &#8212; <\/strong>Egyptian Minister of Education Tarek Shawki discussed with the Immigration Minister Nabila Makram the means of the return of a number of workers within the mission of the Ministry of Education in the State of Somalia in light of the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The Egyptian state concerns to take care of its nationals abroad, in light of the conditions experienced by the countries of the world due to the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Shawki stated that Egyptian teachers working in Somalia requested the Ministry to facilitate their return to Egypt, noting that this process was discussed with the Immigration minister. Hence, the two portfolios work together to arrange a trip to bring the teachers back from Somalia.<\/p>\n<p>Shawki added that the number of the mission\u2019s personnel reached 49 teachers in a number of states in Somalia, within the cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>On her part, Ambassador Makram stressed that Egypt does its best in caring for its citizens abroad, especially after direct directions from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, to form a committee to set up mechanisms for the return of the stranded from abroad.<\/p>\n<p>The committee was headed by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
