ANKARA —<\/strong> The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency [TICA] has sent humanitarian and medical aid to Djibouti and Somalia, as part of its support for the two countries to tackle the Coronavirus.<\/p>\n

In Djibouti, Kotlu Khan Yugel, Tikka coordinator, said the aid had been delivered to the Djibouti Red Crescent.<\/p>\n

“Ugel” added in a speech during the aid handover ceremony on Tuesday, that the packages provided include protective clothing, cleaning materials, and sterilization.<\/p>\n

He stressed that his agency will continue to stand by the people of Djibouti in its difficult days, noting that these packages are part of the assistance provided by “TIKA” to all those in need around the world.<\/p>\n

For his part, the President of the Djibouti Red Crescent, Abdi Ibrahim Farah, thanked Turkey and TIKA for the assistance provided.<\/p>\n

In Somalia, TIKA provided food aid to 500 families living in camps near the capital, Mogadishu.<\/p>\n

The Turkish agency said in a statement that the aid included flour, rice, sugar, oil, and other foodstuffs.<\/p>\n

He thanked the camp residents, Turkey, and TIKA for the assistance provided.<\/p>\n
