{"id":4232,"date":"2020-02-13T22:37:52","date_gmt":"2020-02-13T22:37:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/?p=4232"},"modified":"2020-02-16T07:53:57","modified_gmt":"2020-02-16T07:53:57","slug":"diarrhea-outbreak-kills-five-children-in-balad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sooha.org\/en\/2020\/02\/13\/diarrhea-outbreak-kills-five-children-in-balad\/","title":{"rendered":"Diarrhea outbreak kills five children in Bal&#8217;ad"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>BAL&#8217;AD\u00a0 &#8212;<\/strong> An outbreak of acute watery diarrhea has killed up to five people in Bal\u2019ad town in Somalia\u2019s southern region of Middle Shabelle, an official confirmed on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Governor of Bal\u2019ad town, Hanbali Ahmed, said that acute watery diarrhea broke out in the town causing deaths.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cUp to five kids under seven years old have died from diarrhea, while eight others are suffering from the disease,\u201d Ahmed said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that the waterborne disease had affected many villages in Bal\u2019ad town.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are giving utmost help to the victims but the patients are coming from various areas of the town.
