The measures have displaced hundreds of families from their homes and disrupted their livelihoods, while increasing public concern and frustration among residents calling for solutions that address their humanitarian and social conditions.<\/p>\n

The developments come as the Director General of Somalia\u2019s Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Ali Sheikh Mohamud, warned of the consequences of continuing demolition and eviction operations without providing suitable alternatives for affected families. He stressed that protecting citizens\u2019 rights and dignity must remain a fundamental part of any urban development and city restructuring plans.<\/p>\n
