BERLIN —<\/strong> Somalia participated in the annual high-level Climate Mobility Forum held in Berlin, Germany, bringing together governments, international organizations, and experts working on climate change, migration, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n

The country was represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, which joined discussions on the growing impacts of climate change on human mobility, internal displacement, and cross-border migration, as well as international efforts to address these challenges.<\/p>\n

Forum sessions focused on advancing a shared global vision for climate-related human mobility and promoting international principles aimed at protecting affected communities while strengthening their ability to adapt and build resilience in the face of climate-related risks.<\/p>\n

Participants also explored ways to increase international financing for vulnerable communities, enabling them to better respond to droughts, floods, and other environmental shocks that increasingly force people to leave their homes or seek alternative livelihoods.<\/p>\n

The Somali delegation highlighted the importance of ensuring that the concerns of countries heavily affected by climate change are reflected in global policy discussions, while calling for greater technical and financial support to strengthen local resilience and adaptation efforts.<\/p>\n
