GAROWE —<\/strong> \u200bThe Ministry of Environment, Pasture, and Climate Change of Puntland State, Somalia, participated yesterday in an extensive consultative meeting dedicated to discussing the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) study for the “Sinan” development project. The project is being implemented in collaboration with international institutions and local authorities in the cities of Garowe and Bosaso.<\/p>\n

This meeting comes within the framework of diligent efforts by the state to ensure that proposed development projects comply with the highest international environmental and social standards. During the session, Ahmed Balshali, Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Ministry of Environment, provided a detailed technical presentation on the procedures and legal controls adopted for preparing impact assessment studies.
